I've signed up to do the 2005 Sacramento Valley AIDS Run/Walk. I'm raising money as well; I set my goal small (I don't know that many people) but put my money where my mouth is and donated first.
I'm actually walking with the LAMBDA team (our local glbt center) - I think the more people they have on
their team, the more awareness we can raise when we walk by!
I'm still not in shape to actually run the whole thing, but I will be training for the next few weeks,
and I know that I can at least walk vigorously. :)
If you want to join the race yourself (it's free to just walk) and help raise money for this cause, or if you want to support me, please check out my race page below.
I know that we don't always have the money to give to charity, and I (for one) know that I have to be very careful about what I support, but I think this is important.
